Aphrodites Group - Luxury Hot Tub Suites in Central Lake District!

Very disappointed. Our ideal room was not available when we checked in. We were offered the penthouse suit which was not ideal for us. There was no balcony as I would expect for a penthouse, there were no nice scenic views, in fact two windows are completely blocked out. There were no curtains so we were both awaken at 4AM. The hot tub is not private and looked upon from a window again another very annoying factor. It looked like ALL the rooms were looked over and offer no privacy. Breakfast on the first morning was horrible? I could not eat the granola as it just tasted like sugar and the croissants were cheap small shop bought. Breakfast on the second morning was ok. Nothing special. The location of Aphrodite's is not good. The walk to town will take 20/25 minutes on a 60 mph road with no path!

Terrible place with rude staff. Room was small and dirty, the reception wouldn't check us in when we arrived because we were 10 minutes early. Threats made to take my deposit due to an issue that already existed in the room. Avoid at all costs!

Upon arrival, the first impression was poor; the carpet leading to the reception area was dirty, tired and full of leaves. The reception staff were friendly, but there were no arrival drinks, which I would expect in a place of this calibre. I was quickly checked in whilst my husband sat in the car, as we had been told that our rooms were half a mile away from reception. I was shown a QR code, which I had to scan to get directions to our apartment suite. We drove over to the apartments, and we could not find our suite, after several minutes of searching we went back to reception to be told that we had been shown the incorrect QR and were given verbal directions to the suite. Upon arrival at the suite , there was no-one to greet us, we went into our apartment and quickly found the hot tub and the sauna in the garden, the sauna wasn’t on and was freezing, the hot tub and garden were full of leaves and the water feature wasn’t working and was tired and dirty. The suite itself, the carpet was flat and looked tired, the bathroom was stunning and the bed was comfy but nothing special. I received a phone call off reception asking if everything was ok with the room, I told them about the leaves in the hot tub and the sauna not being turned on. The lady from reception said that maintenance should have cleaned and refilled the hot tub and that she would send him over to sort. The maintenance guy arrived and told my husband that he was in this hot tub earlier that day for 20 minutes which was concerning as I thought it would have been cleaned for us ! Also, the saunas aren't turned on prior to arrival, we had to turn this on ourselves which then takes hours to heat up ! So this needs to be done as soon as you arrive ! But no-one tells you this information. When you are only staying for 1 night and want to use the facilities straight away this is not good enough. Later we rang to reception as I couldn’t find a full-length mirror when getting ready to go out, reception told us that there wasn’t one. However, we did stumble upon one the next day on the back of the wardrobe door. The same evening after coming back from Windermere, we decided to have a dip in the hottub, it was around 11 pm and as soon as we got in, the security came barging through our gate without knocking and rudely told us to get out as we aren’t allowed in after 10.30pm , he said that it was in our contract. He said that he had received 2 noise complaints, which could not be possible as we had just got back from Windermere 10 minutes before and into the hot tub when he came bursting through our gate. I must admit I didn’t read the contract properly upon check in so it may have been in the contract, but when you pay that sort of money for private facilities, you do expect to be able to use them at all hours. The next day we were due to check out at 10.30 am, we were about to have a last-minute dip in the hot tub around 09.50am, however as I was about to get changed I saw the maintena

Just as fab as all the photo, videos and Tik toks. Boyfriend’s booked for my birthday, the staff are so friendly and we had a welcome glass of Prosecco. The rooms are quiet and tidy ours even had an outdoor hot tub which was lovely. We had the edelweiss suite (large bed, lounge area, dressing area, large TV, huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath and TV, outdoor seating area with a covered hot tub, mini fridge) Breakfast was delivered to the room which is such a nice touch and it was super tasty. As we only did one night we didn’t go out for food we ordered a dominos to the car park which was super quick and easy to do. The car park is fairly small so I can imagine if gets busy but we had no issue getting a space on site. 100% worth it and worth the money.

Very noisy room above. Sounded like bath. Got the morning staff to hear when delivering breakfast even they said it was very noisy. The noise went on until midnight on our one night. Lack of food and drink in the evening was also major issue . Felt other places for similar money would have provided a better stay

The room was incredible, and great location. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Definitely will be returning, to try out another room. I had many friends asking where I had gone also from the pictures as the room was just breathtaking.
